Holy Ghost: A Brief Trace

Mentions Holy Ghost Love Dance Festival

There's something fitting about how little is known about Holy Ghost.

They've remained just out of reach. One of the few documented interviews was tied to Malta's Love Dance Festival in 1999.

Holy Ghost, sometimes credited as Holy Ghost Inc., began as a collaboration between Gary Griffith and Leon Thompson, with Greg Griffith later joining to complete the trio. Beyond that, the details thin out quickly.

What does remain is the music. Tresor signed Holy Ghost in the mid-1990s and rose to awareness with the albums The Mind Control of Candy Jones and Art Lukm Suite. Records that, for those who came across them at the time, carried a distinct weight in their own right.

There's no clear account of what followed, or where the trio stands today. No clear continuation, no real ending to point to. Just a trail of releases and a handful of references that still circulate.

While not much is known about Holy Ghost, the trio, or where they are today, their music has left a clear imprint and still holds up.
