2 events between 1989 and 1991
On 16 September 1989, Raindance hosted Britain’s first legal all-night rave in a circus tent at Jenkins Lane, Beckton, East London. The site had no houses nearby and was surrounded by a rubbish dump on one side and sewage works on the other.
Raindance helped launch the careers of Carl Cox, LTJ Bukem, Slipmatt, Mr C, and John Digweed.
Raindance continues to run events to this day.
