Mean Fiddler was founded in 1982 by Vince Power.
It started as a small pub in Harlesden, London, and became a launchpad for emerging acts like The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl in the early 1980s.
In 1989, Mean Fiddler took over the Reading Festival. It later held a 39% stake in Glastonbury Festival and launched events like the London Fleadh.
